The advertised ‘highland feast’ at breakfast was disappointing in size and quality. options for packed lunches were not available as promised, which was frustrating during our trek.

my stay at the macdonald was quite enjoyable. the views from the hotel are stunning, ideal for walkers and climbers. the pub is friendly, and the staff are super nice, which made my experience memorable. i liked how they offered great service, especially after the bedbug incident.

my stay here was much better than last time in kinlochleven. the room was cozy, with a comfy bed and an electric warmer. loved the scenic views of the loch from the bar area and the delicious dinner on the first night.

The check-in process was chaotic with no staff present. I had to wait an unreasonably long time to get help, and when someone finally showed up, they seemed clueless about the reservation. The breakfast was a letdown. not only did we have to pay in advance, but the food was poorly prepared and barely edible.

The whole wheat bread rolls at breakfast were a delightful surprise, truly fantastic! Plus, the hotel's location right on the West Highland Way is spot on for adventurers, and the rooms were clean and functional.

We had a 1 night stay in a triple room and it was pretty cool. Staff were super friendly, and the bar area had stunning views. The food was decent, but I was a bit bummed about the breakfast being smaller than expected. a good spot for a night along the trail!
